Pourquoi le ventilateur axial d'un tunnel ne démarre-t-il pas ?

Why Is Tunnel Axial Flow Fan Not Starting?

Tunnel axial flow fans are essential for ventilation in underground mining, construction, and tunnel projects. These fans help maintain airflow and improve air quality, ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations. However, like any mechanical equipment, tunnel axial flow fans may encounter issues that prevent them from starting. One common problem is when the fan switches on but only produces a nasal sound without actually starting. Here are some common causes and troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

1. Motor or Impeller Stuck

If the fan motor or impeller is stuck, the fan will not start, and only a nasal sound may be heard. This could be due to mechanical obstruction or damage to the components. To troubleshoot, inspect the motor and impeller for any blockages or signs of wear. If any foreign material is obstructing the impeller, remove it carefully. Also, check for any mechanical failure that may cause the impeller or motor to seize up and repair or replace the damaged parts as needed.

2. Power Supply Not Properly Connected

A loose or incomplete power supply connection is another common reason why the fan may fail to start. If there is a fuse melt or burnout, the fan will not receive the necessary power to operate. To resolve this, inspect the fuse for any signs of damage. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one. Additionally, check for any loose terminals and tighten them. Using a megger, test the power lines for any breaks or faulty connections. If you find any issues, repair or replace the damaged connections to restore power.

3. Voltage Too Low

When the power supply voltage is too low, the fan motor may not have enough energy to start. This can be a result of problems with the power supply or inadequate cable sizing. If the voltage is consistently low, contact the power supply department to address the issue. Alternatively, if the cables used to supply power to the fan are too thin and cannot support the necessary voltage, consider replacing them with thicker cables to reduce voltage drop and ensure the fan receives sufficient power.

When troubleshooting a tunnel axial flow fan that does not start, it is important to check for mechanical issues with the motor and impeller, inspect the power supply for loose connections or damaged fuses, and ensure the voltage is adequate for proper operation. By systematically addressing these potential problems, you can restore your fan’s functionality and ensure the smooth operation of your ventilation system.
