How to Safely Use the FBDY Mining Flameproof Contra-rotating Axial Flow Local Fan?

This article provides crucial information for the safe operation and maintenance of the FBDY Mining Flameproof Contra-rotating Axial Flow Local Fan. Please read and understand these instructions thoroughly before using the fan.

Essential Precautions:

Read First: Always refer to this Operation Manual before operating the fan.

Motor Manual: Follow the specific instructions provided in the separate Motor Operation Manual for proper operation and maintenance.

Qualified Personnel Only: Only trained and qualified personnel should operate and maintain the fan.

Power Up Correctly: Ensure the power network voltage matches the rated voltage of the fan motor. Use a megohmmeter to test the motor winding insulation value. Only operate the fan if the value exceeds 50 MΩ.

Secure Connections: Verify correct fan motor connections. Tighten all cables and terminals securely. Ensure the fan is properly grounded.

Blade Security: Before operating the fan, confirm all blades are firmly and tightly connected. The connection between the impeller and shaft must be secure without any looseness.

Manual Rotation Check: Before starting the fan, manually rotate the impeller to ensure smooth movement without any binding or scraping.

Safety Zone Established: Prior to testing, operating, or experimenting with the fan, establish a designated safety zone around the air inlet, air outlet, sides, and motor junction box. This zone restricts unauthorized personnel from approaching or touching the fan. Ensure a 2-meter radius around the air inlet and outlet is free of debris. Visitors are strictly prohibited from observing or approaching the operating fan. Operators and inspectors should only work from the side of the fan, maintaining a minimum distance of 1 meter. Strictly forbid personnel from standing near the air inlet or outlet.

Direction Confirmation: During test runs, experiments, or operation, verify that the rotating direction of each impeller matches the arrow markings on the fan’s outer casing.

Power Off Before Disassembly: Only disassemble the fan after completely shutting off power from the supply main loop. Absolutely prohibit switching on or transmitting power during maintenance.

Proper Tightening: Tighten the fan blades and matching motor during disassembly and assembly according to the specific torque requirements outlined in the Operation Manual.

Regular Maintenance: Conduct maintenance every 6 months. This includes inspecting the motor, refilling grease, verifying the completeness and condition of nameplates and indicators, checking the integrity of the impeller (including blade welding tightness), and ensuring the secure connection between the impeller and shaft.

Restricted Environment: Disassembling and maintaining the motor is strictly prohibited in underground coal mines or environments containing explosive gas.

Maintain Original Parts: Do not modify or replace motor parts without proper authorization.

By following these safety guidelines, you can ensure the safe and reliable operation of the FBDY Mining Flameproof Contra-rotating Axial Flow Local Fan. Remember, prioritizing safety is paramount!
