Factory Test of 15 kW Mine Tunnel Ventilation Fans

HNYT has completed a production batch of 10 sets 15kw mine tunnel ventilation fans. Workshop videos document both the finished units lined up after assembly and a representative fan undergoing a powered running check before delivery preparation.

The two records connect the final stages of the order: one shows the consistency of the completed batch, while the other gives a closer view of the fan body, electrical control equipment and visible airflow during operation. Together, they provide practical evidence of the factory inspection process without substituting for the order-specific acceptance documents.

Ten Ventilation Fans Completed as One Production Batch

The completion video moves along the row of 10 fans and records the finished exterior of each unit. The white cylindrical casings, red internal outlet structures, mounting feet and side connection boxes present a consistent configuration across the batch.

Batch review is important because project delivery depends on more than the operation of a single sample. Production personnel also compare visible assembly details, protective components, fasteners, surface finish and identification information so that every unit corresponds to the confirmed order before packing.

Powered Running Check Before Delivery Preparation

In the test video, the fan is placed on the workshop floor and connected to a separate control box. The sequence records the control box being energized, the fan starting and the unit continuing to operate while the production team observes its response.

This type of functional check allows the team to confirm basic starting and stopping response, rotation, airflow direction and general operating condition. Accessible electrical connections, the casing, grille, support feet and bolted joints can also be reviewed before the fan proceeds to final cleaning and delivery preparation.

Visible Airflow Demonstration Supports the Functional Check

Near the end of the test, a lightweight plastic sheet is held in the air stream at the open end of the fan. Its movement gives a direct visual indication that the impeller is moving air through the cylindrical flow path during operation.

The demonstration is a useful workshop visual, but it is not a substitute for calibrated performance testing. Where the purchase specification requires measured airflow, pressure, motor current, vibration or noise records, those values should be checked with suitable instruments and reported against the confirmed technical agreement.

Designed for Local Ventilation in Underground Roadways

Mine tunnel ventilation fans are commonly used with ventilation ducting to move fresh air toward active underground headings and help carry contaminated air away from the work area. Their compact axial-flow arrangement makes them suitable for installation where roadway space and transport access must be considered carefully.

The nameplate shown in the test footage identifies the recorded unit as model SFNφ6.3/15 and lists reference values of 220-350 m3/min airflow, 400-2250 Pa pressure, 400 V, 50 Hz, 28.3 A and 2,900 r/min. These are manufacturer nameplate values for the unit shown, rather than independent measurements from the visual airflow demonstration; final project data should follow the confirmed order documents.

A correct selection depends on the required air volume and pressure, duct diameter and total length, bends and leakage, installation arrangement, available voltage and frequency, altitude, ambient conditions and applicable mine safety requirements. The 15 kW rating alone does not determine whether a fan is suitable for a particular site.

Project Matching, Installation and Safe Operation

Before production, the fan configuration should be matched to the mine’s ventilation calculation and electrical system. The order should also define the connection arrangement, installation orientation, duct interface, controls and any required certification or protection level for the intended operating environment.

At site, the fan must be mounted securely, connected by qualified personnel and operated with guards and electrical protection in place. The airflow path and ducting should remain unobstructed, while power must be isolated before inspection, cleaning or maintenance. Site procedures and local regulations always take priority.

From Workshop Completion to Delivery Preparation

After the running check and batch inspection, the 10 completed fans can move into final documentation and packing preparation according to the delivery plan. Protecting flanges, grilles, connection boxes and painted surfaces during handling helps preserve the finished condition recorded in the workshop video.
